You have booked a trip with TravelBird BV with destination Malta and paid for it by Paypal or credit card

We recently informed you that SGR is carrying out your trip and that your trip can therefore continue. Unfortonatelly, we must now inform you that it has not been possible to book your trip for you. We cannot deliver your trip.

We understand that our communication is disappointing for you. However, there is force majeure.

This means that you are entitled to a pay back of your prepaid travel money.You paid your trip by credit card or Paypal. SGR can only refund you in case another party (such as a credit card company or PayPal) is not obliged to make refund.

Of course, you may file a claim with SGR in case you are not entitled to a refund by another party.

In that case you may file your claim online at www.sgr.nl/schade-claimen.

When filing your claim, please also upload the written confirmation by the other party that you are not entitled to a refund.

You have booked a trip with TravelBird BV with destination Malta. We recently informed you that SGR is carrying out your trip and that your trip can therefore continue. Unfortonatelly, we must now inform you that it has not been possible to book your trip for you. We cannot deliver your trip.

We understand that our communication is disappointing for you. However, there is force majeure.

This means that you are entitled to a pay back of your prepaid travel money.
We herewith invite you to file a claim with SGR, the Dutch guarantee fund.

Please visit www.sgr.nl Schade claimen and fill in the required information on the form and upload the requested documents (preferably as a pdf file).

These documents are your booking confirmation (as received from TravelBird by e-mail) and your proof(s) of payment. You may download these from your online banking software. Alternatively, you may send us a scan of the relevant bank statement(s) you received from your bank.

In order to process your claim quickly, it is important to follow the following instructions:

  • Please file one claim per booking.
  • Did you book more than one trip with TravelBird? Please file separate claims, one for each booking.
  • Please enter the correct reservation number of your booking (numbers only!) with TravelBird (therefore without the letters that may precede the reservation number).
  • Example: 12345678 instead of N-12345678.
  • Please make sure that the departure date (date your trip would start) you fill in is the same date as the departure date confirmed to you by TravelBird (format: dd-mm-yyyy).
  • Please enter the total amount you paid to TravelBird under ‘Betaald bedrag’ (‘Amount paid’).
  • Please do not enter an amount under ‘Boeking reserveringskosten’ (‘Booking reservation fee’).
  • Please make sure that the e-mail address you fill in is the same as the e-mail address you used to make your booking with TravelBird. Do not use another e mail address of yourself or of one of your fellow travelers.
  • Please upload all required documents (booking confirmation and proof(s) of payment).
    Did you make two payments or more? Please upload your proofs of payment for each payment.

If you do not follow these instructions precisely, it will unfortunately take longer to process your claim. As soon as your claim has been processed, you will receive a confirmation of our payment to you by e-mail.

Did you cancel your trip after receiving our first message? Then you will of course not be charged a cancellation fee.
